Stable releases are the default for everyday work. Read the release notes before updating.
Check for updates
Open Settings > General to check for a new desktop release. Save your work before applying an update and restarting. Review the changelog for changes relevant to your platform.
If you installed Athas through Homebrew, the community AUR package, Nix or a Linux package manager, you can also update through that same manager. Follow the installation guide for manual packages.
Update failures
Check network access and available disk space. If the updater cannot finish, download the correct installer from Download Athas and reinstall the application. Reinstalling the app and deleting your user data are separate actions; back up settings before intentionally resetting data.
Include the current version, offered version, platform, CPU architecture and error when reporting an update problem. See Troubleshooting.
